W.W.J.D. seems to be a good tool for some people to help themselves follow the Golden Rule but wouldn't W.D.J.S. be even more helpful?
W.W.J.D. seems open for too much interpretation and people bend it to suit their own personal, spiritual, political, cultural point of view.
W.D.J.S. = What Did Jesus Say
Jesus spoke in short sentences and plain language. Most of His quotes are very direct and clear and some have seeming contradictions, at least to me.
Seems plausible that when we are all judged Jesus might say, "It doesn't matter what you thought and why you thought it (e.g. capital punishment and abortion are okay), it only matters if you did what I said to do (thou shalt not kill)."
